The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, supervised today, Tuesday, at the Palace of Exhibitions in Snoub El-Bahari (Algiers), the inauguration of the 54th edition of the Algiers International Exhibition, organized under the slogan “Algeria: New Vision and Horizons”.
President Tebboune was received at the entrance to the Palace of Exhibitions by the Prime Minister, Mr. Ayman Ben Abdelrahman and the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, as well as the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Mr. Tayeb Zitouni and the Wali of Algiers, Mr. Mohamed Abdelnour Rabhi, and the President Director Acting General of the Algerian Company for Exhibitions and Export.
The opening ceremony of this edition was also attended by members of the government and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria.
This edition, which will continue until June 25, will witness the participation of about 640 national and foreign exhibitors.
Italy will be the guest of honor for the new edition of this economic event organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic.
The 54th edition of the Algerian International Fair in numbers
Number of exhibitors: 638 institutions, of which 165 are foreign.
Number of participating countries: 30 countries, including 28 countries in the framework of an official pavilion. As for China and Russia, they participate in institutions that are presented individually.
National participation: 573 exhibitors.
The guest country of honor: Italy.
Display areas: about 25,000 square meters (increased compared to the previous edition).
– Activity sectors represented: services, chemical and petrochemical industries, military industries, electronic and electrical industries, food industries, construction, public works, mechanical and steel industries.
The most represented countries: Jordan (25 exhibitors), Turkey (22), Syria (20), Italy (13), Iran (12), Palestine (10), in addition to the participation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
