The Prime Minister heads the government staff at the funeral of Sheikh Ait Eljat – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdelrahman, participated today, Wednesday, with a staff from the government. At the funeral of the scholar, Sheikh Tahir Ait Iljat, and offering the duty of condolence.

At midday today, Wednesday, the body of the scholar, Sheikh Muhammad al-Taher Ait Iljat, was transferred to the cemetery of Beni Messous, to be buried.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced today, Wednesday, that the funeral of the scholar Muhammad al-Taher Ait Ijlat will take place after the noon prayer. To be buried in the yard of the cemetery of Essat Idir. Beni Messous, “opposite the hospital.”

And he moved to the mercy of the late God, in the late hours of Tuesday night, at the age of 106 years. As announced by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments.

The late Ait Elajt was lying in Mostafa Pasha Hospital in the capital, after his health condition deteriorated.

It is noteworthy that, on Monday, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youssef Belmehdi, visited the deceased in the hospital and checked on his health condition, in implementation of the orders of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

For reference, Sheikh Ait Elajt held the positions of Chairman of the National Committee for Fatwas and Chairman of the Committee on New Moons and Shari’a Times.

Sheikh Muhammad al-Tahir Ait Ialjat is considered to have been born in the village of Thamoukra Bani Eidel in 1917. He memorized the Noble Qur’an in his hometown, in the corner of his grandfather, Sheikh Yahya al-Eidly.

He also studied in the corner of Sidi Yahya Al-Eidly and the corner of Sidi Ahmed bin Yahya Umalo the principles of Arabic and linguistic sciences. Then he moved to Zawiya Belhamlawi in El Othmania, near Constantine. He studied there until he was particularly well versed in jurisprudence, linguistics, literature, and mathematics, and he attended some lessons with Sheikh Badis in Constantine.
