The Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Organization in Algeria appreciates the project of cultural parks – the Algerian Dialogue

The Minister started this meeting by presenting her congratulations to the Ambassador after the Argentina national football team won the World Cup, which was recently hosted by the State of Qatar. She then went on to talk about the most important trends of the culture and arts sector, especially in the field of cultural industries, and the Ministry’s tireless endeavors in this regard, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic. Mr. “Abdel Majid Tebboune” as well as the government’s action plan, not to mention highlighting the Ministry’s efforts to develop the cultural parks project in Algeria and to transfer the Algerian experience in this field, accompanied by the United Nations Development Program, to transfer it to neighboring countries, especially the countries of the African Sahel, within the framework of a comprehensive approach based on High-level experience and mobilization of additional resources to strengthen this partnership within the horizons of achieving the goals of sustainable development.

For his part, the ambassador praised the dynamism and tireless and qualitative activities in the sector. He also appreciated the proposal made by the minister regarding the cultural parks project, especially since it achieved great success in Algeria. He also commended the cultural initiatives organized by the ministry at the level of the Sahrawi refugee camps, stressing their humanitarian importance and The great support that the Sahrawi people receive from the Algerian state in various fields, and accordingly the minister gave explanations about the nature of these activities, and stated that the ministry is in the process of preparing to sign an agreement with its Sahrawi counterpart that includes the launch of joint cultural programs with international dimensions, especially in the field of theater.

In another context, the Ambassador and Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Organization in Algeria also appreciated the visit of the Director of the UNESCO Office in charge of the Maghreb countries to Algeria during this week, and the meeting he will hold with officials in the culture sector on common and priority issues for both parties, while the first official in charge of the culture sector concluded And the arts in Algeria, Dr. “Souria Moulouji”, in her speech, shedding light on the strategic and forward-looking vision of the Ministry to support all actors in the field, including individuals, bodies and cultural associations.
