The Seventh Conference of the Ennahda movement condemns the European Parliament’s interference in the internal affairs of Algeria – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Today, Saturday, in the capital, the Ennahda movement concluded its seventh conference under the chairmanship of the head of the conference bureau, by denouncing the European Parliament’s interference in Algeria’s internal affairs.

The Seventh Conference of the Ennahda Movement was held in Zeralda, Algiers, under the chairmanship of the Head of the Conference Bureau. The agenda was to discuss and approve the financial and literary reports of the Secretary-General, review the basic charters of the movement, especially the Basic Law, the Political Regulations and the Political Program, and renew the leadership structures. The movement, especially the election of members of the National Shura Council, which will convene to elect its president and secretary-general of the movement in accordance with the Basic Law.

In an atmosphere of responsibility and frankness, the conferees concluded that the road map that was adopted after the popular movement was represented in constitutional, legal and institutional reforms and a change in men characterized by exaggerated suspicion of the other and the logic of conflict. To the citizen’s resignation from political participation, which is an indication of political legitimacy, a fortification of social peace, and an aid to general stability.
Democracy achieves the free choice of the people, which leads to the building of strong institutions capable of accountability and oversight of the work of the government and the achievement of peaceful transfer of power and political pluralism capable of creating a competitive climate that is an effective means to fight corruption and devote equal opportunities away from political and administrative monopoly. Which helps provide an atmosphere of opportunism, nepotism and mediocrity, which represents for us an issue of continuous struggle.
And the Ennahda movement calls on all societal actors, as the political elite, to work on creating awareness and framing society to warn of dangers before they occur, and to work to recruit citizens for active initiative to carry out duties and demand rights.
It also records that bureaucracy is still the master of the situation in obstructing the path of development, the inability of oversight institutions to limit it, and the inability of state institutions to impose digitization, ease procedures, and fight corruption. On the social level, the purchasing power witnessed a terrible decline, and it was increased by the weakness of storage capacities, which gave the opportunity to speculators and monopolists to plunder the pockets of citizens, which puts state institutions before their responsibilities in controlling and organizing.
And we in the Ennahda movement are well aware of the seriousness of the stage and the seriousness of the plans that target our nation by tearing apart, spreading chaos and sowing discord. Among the Arab countries that used to enjoy security and peace are exposed to wars and division, such as Sudan, Libya, Syria and Yemen.
And we also condemn double standards and the blatant interference of Western bodies and organizations in our internal affairs, and we also note that the Palestinian issue was almost obliterated by the so-called deal of the century and the wave of normalization. We affirm the strengthening of the home front with the guidance of governance, consolidating the meanings of citizenship, sensitizing everyone to the right of full citizenship and participation in the political decision, opening spaces for dialogue and discussion, and activating the role of civil society and political elites in contributing to political development and creating awareness.
Finally, Al-Nahda Movement strongly condemns the blatant attacks by the Zionist entity on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in front of the guarded silence of the international community and the inability of our Arab and Islamic world to stand as one man to defend our lands and our sacred cause.
