The work of the American-African Business Forum continues in Washington – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaery

Today, Wednesday, in the American capital, Washington, the work of the American-African Business Forum continued within the framework of the activities of the second day of the American-African Summit, with the participation of the Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdelrahman, representing the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Bin Abdul Rahman is participating in the framework of the Business Forum, through a working session entitled “Building a Durable Future: For a Partnership to Finance Infrastructure Projects and Energy Transition in Africa.”
The forum, which is held under the slogan “Partnership for a Prosperous and Solid Future for Africa”, aims to develop win-win bilateral relations to support US-African trade and investments, in a way that achieves mutual benefit between them.
The US-Africa Business Forum meetings are jointly sponsored by the US Department of Commerce, the US-African Business Council and the US Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Washington-based Prosperous Africa Initiative.
The business forum meetings are important in view of the economic reform steps taking place in many African countries, which will make the continent an attractive region for direct investments until the year 2050, and the great opportunities that this poses for American institutions to expand in the markets of the African continent.
In an opening speech for the forum, US Secretary of Commerce, Ms. Gina Raimondo, said that the US-African partnership will be defined by trade relations between the two sides, stressing that these trade relations will lead to cooperation in the growth of small companies that create jobs in Africa and the United States as well.
She added that American investors are interested in investing in Africa, stressing that America is a major partner for African companies in the field of services, skills support and innovation, and the possibility of providing transparent financing, as well as the existence of capital and an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship and innovation.
The American official praised the African market, considering that it provides unprecedented opportunities, and announced that the US President, Mr. Joe Biden, has decided to take unprecedented steps to support the partnership between American and African companies.
