12 people were killed and 239 others were injured, of varying severity, as a result of 175 traffic accidents that occurred across different parts of the country during the last 24 hours, according to what was reported today, Sunday, by the Civil Protection Department.
The heaviest death toll was recorded in the state of Adrar, where 7 people died and 5 others were injured at the level of Al Wiam road in Reggane municipality.
On the other hand, 4 people died in the wilaya of Khenchela from poisoning with carbon monoxide gas emitted from a fireplace in a house at the level of the Amarat al-Jadida neighborhood in the municipality of Chachar, while civil protection personnel treated 15 people who suffocated as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide emitted from heating appliances in the wilayas of Batna. , Naama, Ain Temouchent, Tiaret and El Bayad.
