Uganda 1- Algeria 2… Cubs Belmadi with a full score – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The coach’s cubs, Djamel Belmadi, won the fifth successive victory in the 2023 African Cup qualifiers, at the expense of the Uganda national team, on Sunday evening.
The Desert Warriors outperformed their Ugandan rival, with two goals to one, at the Japoma Stadium in the Cameroonian city of Douala, in the fifth round of the “Cannes” qualifiers.
Despite the many changes in the starting line-up, and some playing the first match in the jungles of Africa, the “Greens” were the best throughout the confrontation.
The efforts of Cubs Belmadi were crowned with a first goal by Gomorrah in the 43rd minute, taking advantage of the ball that the opponent’s goalkeeper could not block.
Coach Belmadi made changes to the squad in the second phase, with the participation of Mahrez, Hossam Awar, Slimani and Ben Rahma, instead of Bouanani, Mahyous, Sheeta and Gomorrah.
Before leaving the field, Gomorrah added the goal in the 65th minute, taking advantage of Mahrez once, while Fahd Bayo reduced the score to Uganda in the 88th minute.
The Greens lead Group Six with 15 points, followed by Tanzania, which beat Niger with 7 points, then Uganda in third place with 4 points, and Niger at last with two points.
