The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, received today, Monday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Portuguese Minister of Economy and the Sea, Antonio Costa Silva, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to Algeria, Luis de Albuquerque Velozo.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Commerce, during this meeting, the two sides discussed the reality of economic and trade relations and ways to develop and enhance them, especially in light of the new incentives and benefits granted by the new investment law to foreign investors, which will allow for the enhancement of dynamism and commercial mobility between the two countries.
In this regard, the minister stressed the need to intensify efforts to build partnerships based on the win-win principle and to encourage more joint investments in vital sectors such as the food and manufacturing industries.
For his part, the Portuguese Minister of Economy and the Sea affirmed that Algeria is an important economic partner for Portugal, and that his country will work to activate ways of cooperation and partnership with Algeria.
