Algeria expressed with “great satisfaction” the signing by the Sudanese parties of the “political framework agreement”, as a “decisive step” that would enhance the course of a political settlement of the crisis in the country, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the national community abroad on Monday.
And the statement said: “Algeria received with great satisfaction the signature of the Sudanese parties on the (political framework agreement), as a decisive step that would enhance the path of a political settlement of the crisis in brotherly Sudan.”
“Algeria also hopes that this agreement will be completed with other steps that will put a definitive end to the state of political tension that this brotherly country has known and enable it to confront various challenges and resume its development path in order to achieve the legitimate aspirations of the Sudanese people for progress and prosperity in the context of security and stability,” the same statement adds.

In this context, Algeria called on “brothers in Sudan to dedicate all efforts in order to reach the settlement path to its desired goals and to put Sudan and the interests of the Sudanese people above all considerations.”
Algeria also appreciated the efforts made by the African Union, the United Nations and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development in Africa (IGAD), within the framework of the tripartite mechanism to facilitate the political process that led to this “important achievement” on the road to a comprehensive and sustainable solution to the current political crisis, according to the statement. .
