The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Thursday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the president and general manager of the solar energy complex “Cluster Green Energy”, respectively, Mehdi Bendemrad and Boukhalfa Yaissi, where he discussed with them ways to enhance cooperation in the field of developing renewable energy projects in Algeria.
During the meeting, which took place in the presence of executives from the Ministry, several axes were discussed, including ways to enhance investment opportunities in the field of renewable energies, similar to the national program project of 15,000 megawatts, and the participation of the private sector and investors in solar photovoltaic projects in Algeria.
On this occasion, the minister indicated that the sector seeks to develop new and renewable energies by involving all economic actors with the aim of encouraging and strengthening the development of local industry and upgrading local content. Job opportunities in this field.
The minister also affirmed the sector’s readiness to accompany and take care of the concerns of industrial dealers and create an attractive investment environment, with the aim of increasing the share of clean energies in the national energy mix.
For his part, Ben Demrad affirmed the desire of industrialists in this field to unite, cooperate and form a force of proposals and support for renewable energies programs similar to the project of the national program of 15,000 megawatts.
