The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ontonio Guterres, today, Thursday, congratulated the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the election of Algeria as a member of the UN Security Council, adding: “This distinction testifies to Algeria’s efforts for peace and security in the region and internationally.”
Guterres added, “I thank President Tebboune for his message and strong commitment to the peaceful resolution of disputes and international cooperation. I salute Algeria’s continued adherence to the principles and values of the United Nations Charter.
