President Tebboune honors the USMA team, which won the African Confederation Cup – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, honored, today, Wednesday, at the People’s Palace (Algeria), elements Capital Union Team Football Algeria on the occasion of the coronation of the African Football Confederation Cup, for the sports season 2022-2023.

The honoring ceremony took place in the presence of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Saleh Goujil, the President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, advisors to the President of the Republic and members of the government.

During this honorary ceremony, which began with listening to the national anthem, the President of the Republic handed the crowned athletes certificates of gratitude and appreciation.

President Tebboune shook hands with the players of the USMA team, which won the Confederation Cup of African Football, despite its defeat 1-0 against its guest, Young Africans of Tanzania, in the return match.

USMA benefited from its 2-1 first-leg victory in Tanzania last week, to win the title, taking advantage of the away goal rule, after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.

And after taking a group photo with the players and the technical staff, President Tebboune received the CAF Confederation Cup from the hands of Ali Ben Hammouda, the father of the player Bilal Ben Hammouda.
