President Tebboune inaugurates the Algerian Production Exhibition, and these are his instructions to producers – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

Today, Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, supervised the inauguration of the 30th edition of the Algerian Production Exhibition at the Exhibition Palace in Snoub El Bahari (Algiers), during which he presented a number of directives to producers and investors aimed at developing the national economy and reducing the import bill and dependency in the provision of goods.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rizik, visited some of the pavilions of the exhibition, which is organized under the slogan “Towards Achieving Strong and Open Economic Growth”, and will last until December 24, with the participation of about 600 Algerian public and private institutions, as well as emerging institutions. .

At the first stop of the President at the People’s National Army pavilion at the Algerian Production Exhibition, during which he stressed the need to achieve a real mechanical industry far from assembly, in order to achieve an integration rate of at least 40 or 50 percent. President Tebboune also stood at the booth of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council at the exhibition, as he emphasized the ambition to reach $15 billion in non-hydrocarbon exports through diversifying exports and entering new markets. In the context, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that Algeria possesses an abundance of building materials such as marble and others.

President Tebboune, who pledged to support and accompany investors, so that they can achieve an acceptable integration rate and provide jobs, called for the production of sugar with the freedom to export it to Africa, as it is a material of wide demand. The president also stressed the need to reduce the import of household electrical appliances and to develop this industry locally.

The President of the Republic, during his visit to the pavilions of the Algerian Production Exhibition, revealed the start of a real industry of table oil from the field to the consumer, beginning next April, to get rid of dependence on this substance.

While standing at the pavilion of the “Sonatrach” complex, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune praised the efforts of the workers of the Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and Naftal complexes to contribute to national development. He also stressed the need to double gas production in order to maintain the currently determined export quantities. “We are currently producing 102 billion cubic meters,” he said. We currently consume half of the gas. I hope that in 2023 we will reach the production of 100 billion cubic meters of gas destined for export only.”

The President emphasized the complete prohibition of exporting raw materials for the petrochemical industries, and said when he visited the phosphate industry pavilion, “It is strictly forbidden to export raw materials intended for the petrochemical industry.”
