In the report prepared by the Agriculture, Fishing and Environment Committee on the draft law related to forests and forest resources, it was stated that the discussion on this text led to the inclusion of a number of amendments in form and content, as follows:
In terms of form: rearranging the definitions according to the alphabetical order of the official Arabic language, and matching some definitions to the international reference, in addition to amending the titles of this draft law and reformulating some articles to standardize terminology.
Adding accuracy and clarity to the articles of the text through accurate legal drafting, using each of Articles Nos. 8, 7, 4, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 20, 31, 33, 35, 40, 41, 45, 51 54, 61, 65, 66, 68, 74, 77, 81, 85, 92, 93, 95, 98, 99, 101, 102, 103, 108, 118, 124, 132, 133, 146, 161.
In terms of content, Article 1 was reformulated in order to achieve consistency with the headings of the chapters contained in the draft law, and two other items were added within the text of Article 2 “the administration in charge of forests” and “the forest system” due to the comprehensiveness of definitions on all concepts of the text of this law.
