The first founding conference of the organization was held, the day before yesterday, Saturday, at the Taher Chaaban Cultural Center in Rouiba, Algiers, in the presence of the judicial record and the founding members, during which the idea of establishing the organization, Hadia Chaaban, was nominated.
According to the statement of the Algerian Organization for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Memory and the Promotion of Tourism and the approved environment, the main objectives that include the fields of heritage, history, culture, tourism and the environment have been set, and university professors, media professionals, artists, and activists will work on embodying them. The objectives of the organization were explained in detail during the conference, and the members of the Executive Council and the General Secretariat were chosen by voting, provided that the second founding conference would be held to set up a number of committees with different tasks, and to open offices at the level of several states across the national territory.
