The Sahrawi President and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, addressed today, Saturday, a greeting of appreciation and gratitude to Algeria and to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the strong support of the Sahrawi people and their just cause.
In his speech on the occasion of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Polisario Front, and the outbreak of the armed struggle against the Spanish colonialist and then the Moroccan occupier, the Sahrawi president said, “Here is Algeria, led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, strengthening its adherence to its position that is fully consistent with the Charter and resolutions of the United Nations, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union, in particular With the principles and ideals of the Glorious Al-Fateh Revolution of November 1954. All thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the Algerian people and the majestic Algerian state.
The Sahrawi president also saluted the African continent, its peoples and countries, which considered the Sahrawi issue as a just African cause, extending another greeting to all the African liberation movements that “bring us together – as he said – the battle of the Africans in order to liberate our continent from all forms of colonialism.”
The Sahrawi authorities have drawn up a rich and varied program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Polisario Front. In addition to military and civilian parades, many thematic lectures and round tables are organized related to the event on 20 and 21 May. The program also includes presentations on the activities of Sahrawi women, as well as an exhibition of books by Sahrawi authors.
It is noteworthy that the Sahrawi national football team interviewed the MC Algiers team, this evening, Saturday, at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.
